General Motors Corp. has recalled about 67,000 Cadillac ATS sedans, due to their sensitive power sunroof switches that fail to meet federal standards. The recalls are mostly located in North America.
The affected units have power sunroofs that may close automatically even when the non-recessed switches are touched slightly. The issue was discovered last month, when the company was conducting a routine test on a 2016 Cadillac ATS sedan. It is not a major safety issue and dealers will replace any faulty switch trim plates at no extra cost to owners. The automaker has not received any complaints from owners. The company is also not aware of any injuries, deaths, or crashes in connection with the problem.
